Swakruth is an Academy for Teachers, Students, and Parents. We believe in the role of parents and teachers, who are the change makers in every childs life. The Sanskrit word Swakruth means self-action, self-reliant in our life. Started in 2009, this Academy trains Parents and Teachers to identify the natural talent in every child and scaffold him/her to develop that as their identity, self-reliant and self-directed in every action they do.

The Directress of Swakruth, Dr. Kamala Kannan is very passionate on working with children. She believes that every child is unique and a Natural learner. She is a post graduate in psychology and doctorate in education. Having worked as Teacher and Headmistress, she has over two decades of hands on experience in training teachers on teaching skills, Understanding and handling children. She has developed tools and administered them to understand children psychology and behaviour. A futuristic thinker who wishes to bring a transformation in the current education system through experiential learning. An enthusiastic trainer who enables teachers into efficient facilitators by developing 21st century teaching skills in them. She is very affectionate to kids, feels happy in the midst of them and working for the betterment of children is her goal. She strongly believes in moral values and spirituality and sees everyone as a potential person.
